Practice - Creating a Branding Policy

This example creates a branding policy for all outbound messages from zixcustomer.com. This example includes a header graphic for the messages.

This example uses the webcast Glossary entry created in Practice - Creating an Encryption Policy.  If you have not created this glossary entry, replace step 7 in this procedure with step 6 in Practice—Create an Encryption Policy.

To create a branding policy

  1. On the Status tab, select a cluster.
  2. Under the Manage Policies tab, select the Branding tab.
  3. Enter “NextBigThing webcast registration” in the Label field.
  4. Select the arrow next to the From field and enter "*@*.zixcustomer.com”, then click Add Pattern.
  5. Select the arrow next to the To field and select Enable All Patterns.

Next, define the content pattern

  1. Click to open the Glossary and Bindings dialog.
  2. Find the “webcast” entry in the glossary list and select Subject and Body for the entry.
  3. Click .
  4. Enter “NextBigThing” in the Entry Label field.
  5. Enter “NextBigThing” in the Expression field.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click Add to Glossary.
  8. Find the “NextBigThing” entry in the glossary list and select Subject and Body.
  9. Under the Connector check box, select OR from the drop-down list.
  10. Click OK.
  11. In the Client Buttons row, select Send.
  12. In the Trigger Point row, select Outbound.

Finish by defining the branding policy action

  1. Click (footer).
  2. Select HTML from the HTML/Text list, and click the Browse button to attach an HTML file of the branding message.
  3. Select Text from the HTML/Text list.
  4. Enter the following text in the Branding field to define the text form of the branding.
  5. You can type the text directly into the box or click the Browse button to load it from a file.
